Garden Promises (5/22/10)

All photos in this post were made using extension tubes on a zoom lens. Extension tubes effectively turn any lens into a macro lens by allowing you to move in much closer than the lens’ normal minimum focus distance.

In these shots three extension tubes were stacked behind the lens (36mm, 20mm and 12mm) allowing the lens to be under 6 inches from the subject.

No post-capture manipulation was performed on these images.
